    Dear all
During lockdown for about 3 months i have hardly covered 50km on my prius with ideling for 5mint every 2 days With old mobil oil and no tunning(9000km on 8000km mobil oil as all shops are closed). Now my mileage drops to 10km per litre from 20km per litre. Hybrid battery shows on torque shoes equal voltages and i think its fine. Just mobil oil alone can be the culprit or tuning. Also i have noticed that my with ac on auto with 25 degree centi the mileage was 20 and battery bars also become 3 to 4 blue bars but now due to summer with ac on low just 1 or 2 purple bars and the mileage is 10km also if i set ac to 25 degree centi the battery charges to 3 4 blue bars and running mileage improves. Now i know that ac on low has an effect on mileage but so 10km per litre is a huge effect because i have 1 or 2km per litre effect of ac on mileage in othet cars. Please suggest my culprit. Note: 12 volt battery has also 50 percent life.

sitting is bad for the hybrid battery, the cells go out of balance.

how many kn on her? replace the 12v, then report back with km/litre

But voltage level at all cells are good. I mean if one block is 15volt all blocks show 15 or 14.99 volts by torque pro. I will change it. If by balancing you mean this

Under load or without load at any SOC voltage difference between battery blocks is almost zero

If you're running the engine a lot, running the A/C and are not traveling many kms then, of course, your km/L is going to go down. I wouldn't worry too much until you get back to more normal driving patterns. In the meantime, just keep running the car and force charge to keep the HV battery at 6 bars.
