I dont know how it happened but I asked the dealer and they said because I have scuff marks under the bumper they wont fix it under warranty.

So now there is a gap and I can see the clips that hold it in place. Has anyone removed the bumper before? I plan on fixing it myself but the car is only 10 months old. Ive removed and reinstalled bumpers on my 07 Es350 and 2010 prius so it shouldnt be too difficult for me. Is there anything I should look out for when I remove the bumper on the Prime?

Ok Nevermind. I fixed it. I removed the black piece which comes right off which gave me space to grip the light housing. I wiggled it and the bumper into place. And WOW is this bumper and light held together so poorly. Cheap cheap cheap. Now if someone will so kindly delete this thread for me because I cannot find the delete button.

You are correct on lightly held part, but technically that's not the bumper. It is a bumper cover, or grill sub-assembly.
Glad to hear you could fix it easily. Maybe it happened on parking lot while you are not in the car.
