2009 Prius with 171,000 miles and the 1st problem. Sometime when you start the car, the steering wheel right side button don't work 100%. The map button on top works but the info doesn't. Telephone & talk work fine. The climate control doesn't. Left side is fine. All I have to do to fix it is turn the car off & back on. Hopefully the full wirediagram will show something in common.

The diagram in the Haynes 92081 manual is useless.

You have a faulty clock-spring cable. Replace it with an OEM new one unless your idea of fun is replacing it annually.

Take the normal precautions you would when dealing with the SRS (airbags).
More likely than that you have turned the steering wheel a bit, which can make some of the buttons work.

Sounds like the clock spring in the steering wheel is acting up (needs replacing), but then you talk about the MFD having some issues

Could you please clarify the problem one more time?

I believe he is talking about the steering buttons relating to climate control and info.
