Whats everyones opinion on using Blue Devil or a head gasket sealer?

    One more vote: I agree with two comments made on this thread.

    1) Leadfoot's comment that both positive and negative comments on that merchant's site have been gamed. That's been documented extensively to be true.

    2) That said, I wouldn't go near sealer unless my car was worth $350 and I was losing a quart every 50 miles.

    Ill look into your product, i saw a review on amazon using Bars from a 2010 Prius who said it worked like a champ. i did the service on the egr twice- once incorrectly and the second time with an 18 gauge wire about a week apart at 217k. im what you would call an inexperienced 2nd guessing DIY taking 4 times the amount of time it would take someone else:p

    Blue Devil is the gift that keeps on giving. I changed the thermostat and coolant today, as I was getting weird issues where the ICE was running when it shouldn’t. The lower hose off the coolant tank was 80% plugged with solid Blue Devil. I finally soaked the coolant tank in CLR and got it to rinse out, while breaking it up with a part of a metal hanger. My advice to anyone pondering a sealer versus repair, DO NOT use Blue Devil. This is the second time in the two years since I replaced the engine that Blue Devil has caused me issues.
