hi all... totally flummoxed at the moment as to what the problem here is... heres the timeline, keep in mind this started with a running, no CEL, operable 2012 Prius with 190k on it...

Was out driving for the first half of the day, pretty hot here in houston lately, car is working fine but feels a little bit sluggish when im heading home... decide im going to change the oil and filter, and check/clean out the intake, just to be prudent...

i pull the air boxes, snorkel, etc to clear the path, reach the exposed intake manifold then pause to run inside and get a drink... leave the car in my driveway with the hood up, i click my key fob to lock the doors as i walk away.

return in about 5 minutes, click key fob to unlock, and... no chime. again. no chime, wth? so i walk up closer and as i approach the open hood i hear a clicking sound, emitting seemingly from the fusebox on drivers side... uhh....

key fob still does nothing, i end up getting drivers door open with the physical key, twist twice and pop the back hatch up, disconnect 12v battery. clicking stops.

clean intake, not as much as originally planning to do, and button everything back up, im no expert but i have performed these kind of tasks many times on my 3rd-gens... feeling some trepidation i reconnect 12v battery, get into car, push in brake pedal and hit Start button... car starts up. sounds normal. then... the dash display switches to the "Check Hybrid System" warning and the engine shuts off... I pop open an app to connect with my ELM27 bluetooth device to check codes and find that now i am the proud owner of ...

    P3190 - Pending
    P3190 - Current
    P3190 - Permanent
P0102 - Permanent (this one has been showing for weeks, but no CEL ever)

I notice my traction battery is at 19%... :( i shut it all down.

im kind of at a loss here, it was running fine pretty much and used daily before my unfortunate decision to do some cleaning, not sure what to make of the clicking relay, nor the engine cutting off after about 10 seconds each time. no misfiring, no clanking, i've had a 3rd-gen with a blown headgasket before and run that gamut, this is something else... the key fob not working when i found it in the clicking state really has me confused.

can anyone give me a logical plan of attack here, what i can check first etc? any fuses, relays i can try swapping out? i have a 2010 parts car with full complement of relays and such to pull from, just really not sure where to start... thanks in advance all.

intake doesnt look too bad, some gunk but no chambers or capillaries actually blocked,

It sounds like your 12-Volt battery died, during a diagnostic, while you were getting your drink. Is the battery old?

Has your EGR system been cleaned?

PS - Always have a drink on hand before beginning repairs!

Nothing like a good buzz right before the wrenches turn.

Any updates? Was it the battery? I'm having the same code.
