    Derek Here With A 151K Miles 2008 Prius Gold Eagle River Alaska 99577 My Display Screen Isn’t Working. The Car Hasn’t Been Driven Much. Toyota Gave Me These Codes. They Say The Water Coolant Pump Is Bad. They Say The Display May Need To Be Replace! They Said I Need A New 12V, A New Hv Battery, New Regenerative Breaking, A New Solar Sun Sensor! They Say The Inverter Pump Is Running Great! The Fan Is Really Loud In The Back! I Don’t Know What These Codes Are, Can Someone Please Tell Me? Any Options? Sorry IF You hear. A Click Noise It’s That My Left Turn Signal Was Still Turned On!

    That dealer may not be the best in the area, you may want to look around for another and or an independent hybrid mechanic as well. You can use the advanced search feature here and find additional information on the reported OBD2 codes (DTCs) that you've posted.

    Do you have any desire to DIY with regards to getting the vehicle up and running again?

    I second this.
    About the only thing on that list that they got right is you need a new HV battery. You may or may not need a new 12 V battery, but a simple charge and test can sort that out. If it is ailing, just replace it. You need a good 12 V supply to get reliable diagnostics.

    Unless the scan was done in bright sunlight, the B1421 just means the scan was done inside or at night. If it wasn't those two scenarios then yes, you might need the solar sensor replaced. I have never heard of one that failed though.

    The P2601 is an issue with the CHRS (coolant heat recovery system) water pump, connectors, or wiring. If that all checks out ok, possibly the ECM is faulty. You can safely park this and deal with it later.

    From Toyota's point of view, the only thing they can offer is a replacement of the HV battery which would be the gold standard option. This is assuming the car is in pristine condition and you can see yourself still driving it for another 10 years. When you put in a new HV battery, most of those other codes not mentioned above will go away too.

    There is an after-market DIY install option of all new modules for the HV battery for $1600 but there is currently a wait time due to COVID.

    If you are willing to watch a few YouTube videos and DIY you can replace the MFD (multi-function display) reasonably economically and it is not too difficult. Just make sure you get one with the same part number as stamped on the back of your current one You should be able to find a working replacement on eBay or Amazon. If you're very like a dismantler near you might have one. There is also a repair service, but not sure how that would work for you sending from Alaska. Again eBay or Amazon to find this.

    I hope that eases your mind a little or at least provides a bit more clarity.
