    Hi y'all!

A local dealership is listing a 2011 Prius Two with 84k and a SQUEAKY clean carfax history including regular servicing. I'm in the used market as my 2000 Outback is crawling to it's last days.

The question being, it's listed at ~$9400. I feel like that's a bit high for the car, although it's being listed towards the mid-low end of KBB pricing. Obviously I am going to see how much I can negotiate, considering dealerships are struggling right now anyway. Interested to see if anyone has purchased one recently and the going price for this car near this mileage.

    Thanks!

Yeah, that price needs to be way lower, like lower than $8K...

So 2011, with 84k, has been driven an average of 25 miles a day. It’s not even to spark plug or coolant change interval yet. I think if purchased, you would have 18 months, maybe 2 years before the EGR and coolant change would be needed. However, the brake system issues are possible. But at less then 100k, you could still be in the secondary coverage window, depending on the in service date.

In my area, there are several with similar miles where the seller is asking more then 10k, but a couple at just shy of 10k. If I didn’t have mine, I would look at buying one of these, as they all seem to be in nice shape.

If you like it, buy it. It’s more likely then not got a very long life left in it.
