Will be picking up a 2020 Prime Limited this week... as soon as they find the color/interior I want. I'm getting a black exterior, which are a bit hard to find, but it looks like I won't be able to get it with the moonstone interior. Apparently that combo is almost impossible to find. At least in my area, so I'll probably end up with the standard black interior.

Traded in my 2014 Prius 4 (moonroof option, etc.) and got a pretty good price as I had only 45,000 miles on it. Of course the dealer tried to low-ball me on the trade in price, but we eventually worked it out. My state offers a $1,500 rebate, and along with the $4,502 tax rebate plus the dealer's "discount" of $3,500 I think I did pretty well. I believe the $3,500 "discount" is reimbursed to the dealer by Toyota so the dealer isn't losing anything on that.

Some may be asking why I would trade in my 45,000 Prius. Good question. Basically it's that I wanted the safety features that were completely lacking in the 2014. Getting older I realize that I'm probably not as sharp as I used to be and having some of those features will be reassuring. And since I'm not that much of a long distance driver, driving in EV mode is a nice incentive as well.

Gotta love the Prius... 20 plus years and still rolling.

Congrats on your new purchase. I switched from 2015 Gen3 Two to 2017 Prime Premium three years ago then switched to 2020 Prime LE recently. You will love the new features and all the improvements they have added since Gen3. In my case, I just did not like the 11.6" HU and Softex seats. That was the main reason for switching from Premium to LE. However, my trade from the 2017 PP Premium to the 2020 PP LE did not cost me anything so I am now happier. Enjoy your drive.

Same sentiment here, except...I'm sure I'm not as sharp, nor quick reacting, as I used to be. You'll like your new car. Toyota did a lot right with these cars.

I have a 2020 black Limited. I love the color. They are hard to come by. It took several weeks last August.

Here are some photos of my week old Prius Prime Limited. Wonderful car. I have to say that the changes/improvements from my 2014 Prius 4 are immense. While all manufactures have made great strides improving their cars I think Toyota skillfully built on 20 years of refining the Prius. There isn't a thing that I can see (with the exception of Intune (n)) that Toyota has not improved in the Prius. A real credit to their research and design teams. And I don't mind the large touchscreen. It appears to be, in some ways, similar in use to the one in my 2014 Prius. Looking forward to learning how to drive this one and take advantage of the great mileage.

Congrats, @Oskar! Those black ones look sweet during the brief times they're clean. LOL! Anyway, I agree that the comfort, handling, and economy are huge improvements with the Prime. A few quirks, but all cars have those. I found that I was totally comfortable even after a 700 mile day followed directly by a 750 mile day.

Hope to hear more about your impressions once you get more experience with it.

Last year, we did a 6,000 mile trip in mine. Next month, we're planning a 3,500 (estimate) trip in my wife's 2017 trim 2 Prius.

Understand about the cleanliness. My dealer threw in 60 days worth of hotwax car wash. Perhaps they knew something I didn't! ;)
Will add more observations as I drive it... Thanks!

Congrats! It's a beauty. As many of Primes sold and driven around here, I have yet to spot a midnight black Prius Prime. Not even in our dealers lot. It must be very rare. Just curios, did you close your deal before the end of last month? Because Toyota rebate is now up $4500 in MA.

Modern phone camera focus isn't all that good in auto mode. I do agree that those are some sharp looking vehicles.

I keep reading stuff that says that the only difference between cropping a picture and using a telephoto lens is the ability to blow up a picture and keep it sharp. These pictures really demonstrate that wide angle lenses do not equal telephoto. It's why it's never a good idea to shoot a person's portrait with wide angle. Unless you want them to look like Cyrano de Bergerac. :ROFLMAO:

I closed at the end of August, thus the $3500 cash back. Will also be getting $1500 rebate from the state, and a $4500 tax credit from the feds, so I can't complain on the final price. However, the experience of picking up the car was not a good one. Overall I would rate my experience with the dealership a 2 out of 5. Part of the irony is that I purchased my trade in from the same dealership 6 years previously. In the end they did make good on some of the issues, but it wasn't without strong advocacy on my part.

I goes right into the garage, after all, the car is loaded with sensors, so it's a piece of cake! ;) But jerrymildred is right, it's all in the perspective. It is a small garage, but the car fits nicely.

I have to say the first BIG difference I noticed in the 2020 versus my 2016 was visibility. A huge difference from six years ago. There just seems to be way more glass in the 2020 Prius, and I find that a good thing.

If you think the visibility was improved, wait to drive at night with the quad LED headlights on. There was literally a day and night difference, at least for me when I switched Gen3 to Prius Prime.
