I drove 5 miles to see a friend this morning here in AZ. It's 118 out. I was parked in the sun for 3 hours and when I took off I had several bars on the battery, say 5, but it took off like really weird and drove as it had reduced power? I pulled over and started over again. Same thing happened. I had to go to work and did a quick scan with my Carista, and nothing.

The best way to describe the feeling is to imagine it with a clutch and a new driver spinning the motor a little high, then abruptly engaging the clutch.

    Any help is appreciated!

Ah I bet that's exactly what it is. It was 118 out. I am sure I had the windows cracked and sunshade up. Maybe it's time to get the remote start from 12 volt solutions like I had in my 3.

Thanks, that's exactly what it is.

    C'mon out, the waters nice:p.

Pool also has solar heating, so the swimming season lasts longer;).

No need to venture out for anything other than groceries now:).

It only took a pandemic to convince the wife this hole in the ground was a great idea(y).

Signed the contract June 3rd, so done in about three months:).

But it could have been sooner, if some of the contractors didn't get COVID and fire season didn't start with our area being evacuated:cool:.

But I'll take the finished product in 3 months as there are still at least 2 months left to enjoy it(y).

Bisco-Yep! It gets hot here in Texas where I live and I’ve experienced the same situation when my battery is too hot.

It's a dry heat; I have tint and I always use the shade. September is always the worst; I'm *so* over the heat. Thanks for the replies, Bisco nailed it, that's what it is. Thanks again, glad I continued driving and didn't switch to the Expedition for the 100 mile commute.

Is your avatar from a community pool:eek:.

Watch out for the little kids there:cool:.

Turned out pretty close to what they promised at the beginning(y):

We actually have an umbrella for the table area too:).

I'm a shade guy too as I burn very easy;).

Problem is the umbrella the wife bought for the area is the same umbrella and the shade in the afternoon doesn't cover the area:(.

Nothing a saw can't fix to make it better(y).
