New owner of a Prime! However, I am having difficulty with finding Entune (particularly interested in remote climate setting). Could not find Entune on Canadian Toyota website, nor was there compatibility from the app on Google Play. Seems like it only shows vehicles from 2020+

If anyone could shove me in the right direction it would be appreciated!

Looking forward to spending some time on this forum!

    Congrats and welcome to PriusChat!

Entune isn’t available on the Prime Upgrade or Upgrade with Tech package.

That's for Canadian models of PRIMEs? What infotainment app does Canadian models have?

    Yes.

Same system but Entune (2.x) is disabled. 2020+ Base models get Safety Connect (Because of the 7" MFD) but not higher trim levels. I cannot confirm whether base models upgraded to Entune 3.0 for 2020 and newer since I haven't sat in those. It's a dog's breakfast up here with head units and "Toyota Connected Services" on the Prius and Prius Prime.

No Entune means no Charging Station POI, no PED, no Remote Apps (so we can only use the fob for remote climate and we can't remotely start the charge) and no HDD Traffic/Weather

Hey, if I knew how to disable Entue on my 2017 PP Premium, I would have. But I did not install Entune 2.0 on my phone, and I never updated the Entune nor the HU firmware, so it was as good as disabled. As for my new 2020 PP LE, I had to install Entune3.0 on my phone and link it to the car in order to disable the Safety Connect. Now, it is disabled and I just found out that the Scout GPS app is a garbage, I think I am going to uninstall Entune 3.0 from my phone. I will lose Alexa and a few other apps with it, but not going to miss any.

Just picked up a used 2018 prime advanced. Previous owner had the car registered with Toyota safety connect. I got that swapped over to me back in November. I was told the remote connect doesn’t work any longer with the new Toyota app on the older vehicles. Today, December 25th, the app is showing my battery charge level, the remote start is showing and it is displaying my correct mileage that shows on my odometer.

    Anyone else’s working now?

Whoever told you that remote connect doesn't work with the new Toyota app on the older vehicles is half correct. AFAIK, the new Toyota App is only for 2020 and newer PP, but those newer PP do not have Remote Connect functionality for any of the trims. OTOH, I have not heard that the pre-2019 PP Advanced with Prime App which includes Remote climate control and Remote charge control has stopped working.

I can confirm that Remote Charge Management and Remote Climate work on my 2018 Prius Prime Advanced in both the new Toyota app and the old Toyota Entune app. The old Toyota Entune app still has more remote app functionality than the new Toyota app. Perhaps they are still in the process of porting over all the old features to the new app.
