So much info here. The consensus seems to be that Optima Yellow Tops are no longer as good. The Bosch is as good. Deka is good. AC Delco seems to die right after the warranty. Toyota is likely the best.

I just want to have a good deal shipped to my house and every deal that was cited to be in the 130-160 dollar range is now gone.

I like my stuff shipped. Not a big fan of being a dealer patron. Thing is...shipping kills just about all of the battery deals.

I want a good battery. My wife will be driving it most times not me.

    Thanks.

Thanks but if it coming from China I can't imagine waiting that long. Other suggestions?

NAPA normally has one or two in stock in their Legend series. Around $180

and I've also looked at Batteries Plus Bulbs, as they have an Energizer available in the Prius size also. I think that was around $200 with a 3 or 4 year replacement warranty.

Advance Auto has Die Hard brand. If you're new there's a 25% off pop up if you put your email address.

i think the optima is okay again. biggest issue is warranty with any online order, unless it is affiliated with a local store.
i'm an online guy with covid, so idk what i would do now, probably seek curbside delivery.
i picked up a toyota for $200. before the dam pemic

Best I could find is NAPA. The Legend is about 193 bucks now but they are doing 20% off if you have triple AAA which took off 40 bucks for me. I would have preferred Advance Auto as they have been good to me over the years but their 40 off 100 coupons went away years ago and it looks like their current codes don't apply to batteries. The only weak sauce I could find was 10% off Die Hard. The popup (only 20% for me didn't work).

I put a Legend in my parents car 5 years ago. I check the battery in all our family cars a couple times a year to ensure no surprises. It still tested great this September and I have no concerns about it.

Thanks for the good word. I wish that AC Delco was the way it was when I was younger on performance cars where it could be trusted. It was so tempting! Glad that my wife is driving it so I couldn't bring myself to take the usual chances I take.

I really like the fact that you can take it right back to them within the 4 years and get a new one for nothing more.

Ended up going with the AC Delco which is on sale tonight for 131 bucks. Got the 3 year Amazon warranty for 26 bucks and then Visa warranty free extension for 1 year....mastercard can double the initial 2 years as an option.

    I must be nuts....crossing fingers.

Thanks bro. Just got the title BTW...waiting for registration. What a nightmare! Hit me up if you ever end up in the bureaucracy. I'd be happy to bounce ideas back and forth with you.

The battery in the car was 15 years old per the previous owner everyone. Bastard won't hold a charge for more than a day, lol.

Thank YOU! My application for title and registration was delivered on October 6th. On Friday October 16 after you told me the trick I sent him an email. In 15 minutes I received a call from his staff that they will work on it that morning. Same afternoon I logged in my account and the vehicle appeared with title number and license plate number. Monday, I received my plates and title. Actually, my payment check was actually $50 less due to new Highway Use Fee but still they sent me the registration and title anyway. I assume the bill for the $50 will follow at some point. I am glad nothing was lost and I can drive the new car following your suggestion.

Lol well I wouldn't have known about the option unless you told me about it so happy to pay it forward. I have a nightmare where I have two homes close together but have mail forwarding turned on. I literally had to wait like 5 extra days just to get it sent. I see alot of cars in your graveyard sig so I figure that you'd be swapping cars quite a bit like me HAH! I was tempted to do multi-year or custom tags but I was like....eh better not make this any more complicated! How was that Excursion by the way? I have always wanted one. I can't figure how to hit you up on PM and I don't want to tick everyone here off with OT lol.

At least you got the title which was the most important thing. I had the Excursion for 8 years and the Prius since new 14 years ago. I do not change them that often. Lol. The Excursion was big, drove like a truck, great for towing but had repairs every year and my average was just 8.5 mpg. The good thing is that it held its resale value very well. I can’t figure out how PM works either.
