Anyone installed a subwoofer that is underneath the driver or passenger seat?

Looking at options to install other than the rear trunk, thanks!

    Hi.
I have a 2020 Prius prime. Stock stereo. I upgraded it adding separates in the front and disconnecting the rears. I have a DSP under the passenger seat and a five channel amp under the drivers Seat. There is a fair amount of room under the seats but a SW would be tight.
I have an Audison 8” passive amp enclosure.
    >>Last week I started getting dashboard warning lights telling me that the hybrid system as well as all the safety features such as lane departure were malfunctioning. And, indeed the hybrid system was not functioning.
I took it to my Toyota dealer, and $600 later I am told that the magnet from the subwoofer was impacting the heating and cooling systems of the hybrid battery. I don’t know if this is accurate or not and I guess time will tell. The subwoofer has been disconnected. I’ll see if the problem happens again. I do notice water in the charging port after rain. The dealership said this would not be causing the problem. Again time will tell. <<

I may end up placing woofers/sub in the rear door enclosures. The bass I get from my 6” Hertz Millie Legends is incredible even without the SW.

There is a current sensor in the hybrid battery in the trunk that can be affected by strong magnets. There's another thread about it. Almost any other position in the car should be fine, just not over that particular area of the trunk. Even the other side of the trunk might be OK.

The charge port is designed to handle water. I wouldn't dip the cable in a puddle intentionally, but I leave mine outside on the ground in the elements and it's fine. And charging in the rain is fine too. The only risk I can think of if water gets in there is accelerated corrosion on the contacts.

I can't seem to find it. Maybe someone with a better memory or better searching skills can help.
