Only time I’ve ever heard it in the year I’ve owned it in South Texas is when I finally got an Android phone and Hybrid Assistant and it came on because the app was set to “auto”.

Is that unusual or is it generally a quiet fan unless it gets really, really hot?

    TIA.

Not sure what other non hybrid your referring to but if a G2 that fan is always running at the lowest speed. You cannot hear it.

Never heard our 2010's fan. Monitoring one time with scan gauge it was supposedly up to speed 4 (out of 6?), but I still couldn't hear anything.

Your battery fan is a good indicator of battery health... The more you here it, the more battery problems you're gonna have...

Thanks guys. Thats what I thought.

Got a reman battery installed but read some reviews that the company might be quick to install battery fans to the tune of 150 so I wanted to be sure mine was working well.

According to apps I’ve checked, temps I’ve seen, and just general electrical knowledge and having heard the fan at high speed, the fan was in good condition and operating properly.

I made this post before the work was done and sure enough they put in a new fan, never said a word and I didnt find out until I looked at my credit card charges.

Yeah... If they do that alot, and at that price my hunch is what they're likely doing is swapping the fan with a used one that they cleaned. Most of us just charge 1/2 hour to clean the one you have, but these folks are more interested in getting as much money for themselves instead of building loyalty by saving as much money for you. Of course compared to what Toyota Stealerships do to people it's fairly insignificant.
