As mentioned in the title, I am trying to add an AUX cable to the car radio. The car radio is the standard one, no JBL, and no AUX input. Just the DISC button itself. Do you guys think this will work with the car, or do I have to run around to get this to work? TIA!

I added a gizmo once to a Gen 1 that could plug into the AVC-LAN from the headunit and masquerade as a mini-disc player. When selected by the headunit, it would function as an aux input. (It would also connect to an iPod, and even show track names, as if they were tracks on a mini-disc.) Several vendors sell such things.

Instead of spending $50 to add an aux port, may as well get a aftermarket car radio for under $50 with aux and usb input.

Not sure how it affects the MFD, thought there was a PC thread on how to integrate with MFD. Found the thread.
