I've decided to remove and then sell my factory oem cat.- then replace it with an after market $120 one.

No one will steal the aftermarket one & I can sell the oem one for big $$$

What happens if after a couple-few years the cheap cat fails and you have to get another one and then a few years later another one and on and on? That happened to me long ago when I kept buying really cheap mufflers for my Subaru. As in how much will it really cost you in the long run in time and money compared to how much you make one time right now?

And I'm not suggesting you're wrong to do it as there's many people on here who've done it. But we don't know the lifespan yet of these ridiculously cheap online cats made in China and we also don't know how much worse the air pollution is when you use them. And while your state might not have very strict air pollution laws, if you moved to California or a couple north eastern states you wouldn't be able to get your car registered because no OEM cat means you fail smog inspection. Those are risks worth considering before you get all that money and spend it right away.

They're starting to steal them everywhere... Even in Wisconsin! And our city in Western Washington even got hit a few months back with near a dozen thefts over the course of a very short period of time.

New way to prevent cat theft, air suspension that lowers your car to a mm from the ground.

Of course you won't be able to park on top of a puddle that way... Though not many folks have puddles like us folks in Western Washington have... We're expecting 5-10 inches of rain from a storm at the start of the week and nobody even mentions it because it's just another day in January that's not much different than any other rainy day. :) We have spots out on the cost get a foot of rain from storms multiple time a year and nobody uses umbrellas because why bother?

Would be pretty easy to put a couple electrodes on the bottom the car, if they conduct as they would in a puddle, raise the car until not conducting anymore. :)

Bet the hybridpit could easily sell this idea to the masses, and in turn the smarter(?) thieves would use an inflatable jack (with stands!).

I’ve kept mine as a way to pass inspection every 2 years.
The aftermarket one I bought actually has more titanium than the OEM which makes for more complete burning.
Since it works so well there are no codes and in five minutes I can Jack up my car and swap it for the test. Now that friends and family know about this they too rent mine for a week since they cannot find anyone to to “modify their exaust.

    iPhone ?

I'm not a catalytic converter guru. Anyone know enough about them to explain this to me?

I thought Russia on first glance too but I think it is actually Greece, going by the script written on the video.
