Are EVSE units un repairable

    It appears the Nissan EVSE that I have been using has a bad temperature sensor. I can find nothing on the internet about repairing them. Seems a shame to throw a heavy complicated unit like this in the landfill.

    Some here have repaired them;).

    @jerrymildred has taken his apart before as well as @bwilson4web :).

    They'll be along eventually to describe the process or maybe even have some pics of what they did handy(y).

    i took my oem apart, but couldn't find replacement parts. and one thing i learned. like most things today, repairs were not part of the original engineering. putting it back together was a lot more difficult.

    I've only disassembled the end that connects to the car. It was pretty simple, but it's a good idea to take a picture of it when you take the one side off so you don't forget where everything goes.

    The plug for the wall socket is a different matter. The one on my Duosaida is molded and not possible to open without destroying it. I have never seen the Nissan unit in person, so can't offer any suggestions. But, if this is your plug, it does look like it could come apart.
