    Hi all,

I was checking out the used market for various hybrid models and it looks like the CT 200h seems to be a good value recently. The 2015 model looks like the sweet spot in terms of value.

    I know the CT 200h doesn't have Toyota's latest HSD...but that's fine with me.

Anyway...anyone have one? Pros/cons vs the Prius?

    Thanks! (y)

The pro/con’s were hashed out here back then: Prius won overall (not too surprising). CT won on “luxury” and looks. Since the CT is now a 7+ year old design, those particular wins have faded.

    FWIW

Agree...however, I'm talking 'value' compared to CT's original MSRP....which by all accounts was overpriced because of the Lexus nameplate.

I'm also seeing used Primes in the same price range of the CT...and if anything I would probably go with that.

I looked at a CT-200h in late 2015, but bought a 2016 Gen 4 6 months later. The CT-200h was very compromised in accommodation - the rear seat was poor and the boot was even worse. And - remember it's only Gen3 PRIUS technology - with the old Gen3 engine/drivetrain lifted out with little alteration. If it was optioned with RADAR Cruise, it was a fairly rudimentary, not very friendly version. It did drive a little better than the Gen3 - but if it had the low-profile tyres, the ride was terrible.

The only plus I could see was that I felt the driver's seat may have been more comfortable.

It looked good (especially in F Sport package on 2015+ MY) and it had a double wishbone rear suspension so it rode better than the Gen 3. It was designed for Europe so it is on the smaller side. If it’s a 2nd vehicle or an urban commuter, it’s perfect. Easy to park, decent cargo space (only when you fold the seats down) and decent fuel economy (between a Gen 2 and 3 Prius).

Of course you also get Lexus built quality vs. a “compact Toyota” level of quality.
