Wiring addin behind MFD

    does anyone know what this pigtail is for? It’s spliced into the harness behind the MFD and has a small circuit board on it.

    I don’t recognize it.

    Could you post clear photos of the front and back of one of the connectors, so we can see the number and arrangement of the terminals, and which ones are intercepted by the added module, please?

    A photo of the circuit board, shorn of its heat-shrink covering, would also be helpful: the board itself might say what it does, and even if only the components can be identified, this might give some insight into the possible range of functions.
