Thank you for responding. Unfortunately I only got them down another 500 but I will mention the uber discount. What exactly do I need to prove to them I am an uber driver? Thank you all again for your help.

To be honest my man. You don't need a extended warranty. I have driven 5 (warranty on 3) priuses now and used warranty once. It was a 800 dollar radio defect and to be honest it wasn't even that bad, I could have dealt with it. Wasn't a big deal. This cars even drive. Correctly and efficiently will last 300k give or take with no major repairs. fyi

Man I was being quoted around 31, and change. I would get into true car and car gurus. Get a true price/internet team price. There way off. Call a couple dealers but check TrueCar and cargurus and sort by price. Boom. You'll save more then that

Guys all you have to do is go get a true price online. It's really that simple. Here's a example I just pulled out at 9,000 dollars off. You guys are all paying way to much!! Thank me later or give me some upvotes or whatever! Lol
see my screenshot below in regards to what I'm saying. You guys are paying way too much for your cars and all's you have to do is a simple search online through TrueCar price. Sign up with your email and you can get text notifications. It makes it really easy. You won't have to come to the forum and ask for help etc. All these things can be rectified by a simple search online to find the best price in your area by the simple zip code and email address with validation. Y'all can thank me later Tim. This is in regards to the quote the gentleman was going to pay $31, 000 and change and lived in Maryland Screenshot_20210404-095858_Chrome.jpeg

If you go with Truecar are you stuck with that price? Or can you possibly do better? I haven’t used them yet because it seemed I had better pricing on my own.

What is you price approx? Depends on area but to be honestly I find that, TrueCar has always been consistently cheaper then advertised sale prices. Also carguru.com helps me track stock and customize options. Then I just go to that dealer and bring cash or your own financing. Done. Can't get everything if you finance through TFS. Funny enough my 2021 even knowing is financed through capital one at 2.45%, my bill is still handles through TFS. Convenient for sure. Unexpected too. Every prius I have bought was way way cheaper then a standing dealer to compare with.

Truecar price as dealers compete for best price is a great place to start!

SOCAL Picked up two cars... 24.8k for grey and 25k for red OTD for the 2021 XLE. Thats the best you can do in socal period. Claremont toyota might be able to get you 24.5k OTD for a non red/white one.

I paid 22,107 wind chill pearl and T@L was 2850 plus DoC fee. So ya that's like 25k right there. Maybe a couple hundred more. Again though LA county wise it's the best deal I could find.

I paid $23,592 for an LE last month in LA area (ALL in, taxes, etc). $3k dealer discount. So the car price was $20,703 before TTL.
You'll still come out ahead though, as I only get $1k from CA rebate.

FYI for CA buyers - As the above CA CVRP rebate is no longer available to Prime purchases, if you are eligible, there is - Clean Vehicle Assistance Program for a grant, although the approval process can take months, I believe.

That was for a LE for $22,107.

$24.8 and $25k for a XLE out the door is a great price! Congrats Mavi!

I know I don't need either the warranty or service plan, this is actually the first time getting it on vehicle. I thought I would get it with this car as I will be doing a lot of miles and I have no experience with EV or Hybrid cars. I do all my work on my other cars, but was willing to pay to not have to worry about anything for a while. I've also had bad luck on my last 2 cars (VW GTI and Subaru Outback) where something goes bad shortly after the warranty expires.

Other than that, I feel like I got a decent deal on the car. Thoughts?

Thoughts? Yeah, get a refund for that warranty/service plan. That is a crazy high cost.
    8yr/150K Warranty + 5yr/75K maintenance plan: $4,720
You have an emissions warranty and hybrid/battery warranty. Read those and see what is covered beyond the standard 3/36.
Also read the maintenance requirements. You're getting the first 25k covered, and then its pretty much a normal vehicle maintenance. Actually, after my statements, I retract my "crazy high cost" description. That is f$&*ing rip off pricing and completely insane. You should be able to get a refund, without issue, ASAP on that.
Take the $4720 and put it into an S&P 500 mutual fund. Withdraw from it if you need to perform any high cost repairs on your Prius (one of the most reliable, least costly cars to own).

    Please. Rethink that crazy expense.

I just purchased a 2021 Prius Prime LE in Titanium Glow in Woburn, MA. Here's the pricing:

    MSRP: $29,539
Fees: $675 (Doc fee, title fees, inspection, plates)
    minus:
    Dealer discount: ($2,497)
    Toyota rebate: ($5,000)

    Total cost: $22,717
    Tax: $1,409
    OTD price: $24,126

I'll get the federal tax credit of $4,500, plus MA has a tax credit of $1,500, so when I net those out the car will end up costing $18,126.

For a little context on how well these cars hold their value, two years ago I purchased a 2018 Prime at a similar discount - it ended up costing $17,600 (including tax credit, excluding tax and registration) To buy the 2021 I sold the 2018 to Carmax for $17, 800. So it cost me under $400 all-in to go from a 2018 with 28k miles to a brand new 2021.

Thank you everyone for the help. I was able to get a 2021 limited wind chill white with the all weather floor/cargo liner and alloy wheel locks for out the door price of $29,283.30. Compared to what I was quoted at my local toyota dealership that is over $10,500 dollars of savings. Now compared to my first post where I was quoted $34,517.69 at another Maryland dealership. I thought that was a good deal but you guys told me to keep trying. I was able to save another $5,234.39. Thank you guys. IMG_0495.PNG
