    I have a 2020 Limited. Is the Toyota App practically useless? The app doesnt show me any odometer, fuel or battery state of change. Of course door locks do not work. Or are these suppose to work? I have safety connect active. I hate the fact that almost every year of the Prime, Toyota tweaked some something to the app and the connected services and half the time post like mine about the app, people point to the wrong year and wrong app.

    Yep, it does just about nothing with the 2020. Thanks Toyota!

    You can access the owner's manuals. I think it might be required to use the streaming audio apps on the car ... NPR One, etc.

    Im not sure if the streaming apps work anymore either after the new entuned app came out. Everything tied to the infotainment and connected services seemed half baked. Toyota should have invested more into Tesla and learn more about their software and Tesla could learn a thing or two about manufacturing.

    When I first got the car, Toyota App worked flawlessly. And after intentionally opting out of Saftey Connect, the Entune app suits including NPR One, iHeart Radio, Toyota+Alexa, and Scout GPS continued to work fine. Those works without Saftey Connect telematics. But, a problem arose, when Toyota App prompted me to update. This happened during a trip away from home. I lost every app that was working. Everything was grayed out. It took me a good 3 hours+ phone calls back and force with Toyota Service Rep to remedy this problem. In the end, I decided not to play with it anymore.

    So how did they fix it as I am getting an eternal download of etune on the control head that never fully works. I thought etune was dead!

    For 2020 and newer PP, the Entune app on the phone is dead, it is now consolidated and controlled under the unified Toyota App, but the car still calls the infotainment system onboard "Entune App Suite" on my 2020 PP. After I had the problem of not being able to use any of the apps under "Entune App Suite" due to an update issue, I had to call Toyota Customer Experience Center as indicated by the Toyota App error message, and the rep reset my Toyota Owner account credential. I had to start over by uninstalling the Toyota App from my phone, re-installing the most up-to-date version of the Toyota App from the App Store, registering the VIN, and get a new customer log-in credential setup. Finally, I had to reestablish the link permission by enabling the log-in to individual apps, such as NPR One, iHeart Radio, and Alexia. However, for an unknown reason, the LiveXLive app never worked, but I was careless at that point, for I decided if I was keeping the car long I would replace the HU anyway. I did not keep the car very long and sold it not too long after the incident.

    Same here. Was able to clear my personal data a second time and choose update later. So far it has not asked for an update again. If this is the worst that can happen then I will live to fight another day.
