PRIUS C P0AA6 526 612 water drops around the module

    I keep posting my prius C 2013 problems I wish I could finally drive it, I hope you can help me with this I got the orange triangle and the check hybrid system, techstream gave me this codes p0aa6 526 612 .

    some background that I think triggered this problem, I pressure washed all my seats I let them dry for one week but the car smells humid, I decided to open the battery pack and I found the modules had lots of condensation on the side like they were sweating I'm planning to cycle the modules and put everything back again, my question is will this fix the problem? or maybe something else got bad that is causing this problem.

    You might have a voltage leak so tracking your hybrid battery voltage via a phone app and an OBD2 reader would be a good start. Dr. Prius app is easy to use. Here's buyer's guide: Hybrid battery diagnostic and repair tool for Toyota and Lexus

    As for water, what I do know is corrosion at the module nuts is common and not much of a problem, but when that corrosion gets bad it can damage the voltage sensing wires where it plugs into the hybrid battery ECU and short out the ECU... Hopefully @SFO will see this post and share the diagnostic/repair write up specific to p0aa6 526 612

    It's possible that moisture from the seats condensed in/around the battery.

    The base fault is electrical leakage- the car is detecting high voltage leakage from the battery to the 12v system. That can be a lot of things- damaged cable on the belly, water intrusion, electrolyte spill, bad connector on the battery ECU and more.

    The seat humidity theory is reasonable for now. Gotta dry this car out! Can you put a portable dehumidifier in it for a few hours?

    Once you get it to where the car will go READY (even if it won't move) then you can try using its own air conditioner, it'll just sit there and dry itself out.

    While on that topic, these cars are pretty dependent on their air conditioners. The hybrid batteries normally breathe cabin air, so if you can keep that air cool and dry the battery will last longer.

    Wow a lot of interesting information thanks!!! Yes I have to fix the ac first so I can do the step you tell me I am fixing the battery first I Paid somebody to refurbishing but that was after I found this group and he did the regular module swap no balancing or load test I will try to fix it first and then see how it goes.
