    Love to bump this thread...

i have a 2007 with 225k and it was getting 26/mpg and a rough idle. I went ahead and did the following:

    plugs
    Ignition coils
    Injector coils
    Clean maf
Clean all connectors with brake cleaner
    Changed air filter

    Car is now getting 50/mpg
Still has rough idle and occasionally throws misfire codes on cylinder 1 and 2 as well as “bank 1 too rich”

Using blue driver to read codes

Idle according to blue driver is between 960-1020 rpm, which I take to be mostly stable?

many help would be great, I am at a loss as to what to do.

Cleaned the throttle body? Show us pictures of the throttle body bore please.

The rolling misfires are disturbing. What is the history of this car how long have you owned it?.

I will post pictures tomorrow. The history of the car is that I owned it since 2008. Almost the entire life has been mobile 1 oil. Had to change valve cover gasket about 1 year ago and engine was in great shape. Timing chain and a litte bit of play to hit, maybe 1/2 inch. Nothing horrible.

If I take my air filter out completely, the idle gets better. Did that when I did a quick test if air filter is the problem.
Cleaned out the maf and throttle bottle with maf cleaner, including spraying the spring throttle.

such a strange issue. My gas mileage was down to 26-27 until I changed everything and now it is floating near 50.

Mobil 1 is good stuff. Does it eat oil at all? Have you ever run it so dry of oil by mistake a check engine light came on?

225k is a lot of miles. Is it on the original hybrid battery?

It became my wife’s car after we got married amd she would definitely wait to tell me the “fill oil” error came on before letting me know it needed oil.
    It is the original battery.
The car is a tank so I really don’t want to get rid of it, I just can’t figure out this silly rough idle.
I am getting misfires on cylinders 1 and 2 amd random misfire codes. And this is after replace injectors, ignition coils, and spark plugs.
