This is not a fully synthetic oil as per the specifications. How detrimental a semi-synthetic oil would be to the engine?

    100K kilometers (~65K miles), 35-40°C (95-105F) summer.

It is quite confusing sadly, synthetic vs semi-synthetic vs non-synthetic.

The US is flexible on the definition of synthetic meaning highly refined dino oil can be called "synthetic", highly refined Group III base stock.

In Germany there is more strict tolerance, so synthetic means PAO or Ester.

So their semi-synthetic is probably closer in quality to our synthetic.

It's more expensive than Mobil 1, so even though I have 2 jugs I'm afraid I never used them. (Call me cheap. Probably should have a long time ago since they have some sort of warranty for 1 yr)... JPEG_20210509_162554_6092962090475688751.jpg

I bet someone can find fully synthetic (on the label) for cheaper than $20 a gallon, but I just use this.

Bangledesh you might want to go with a heavier weight, say 5W30 or 10W30.

Take away here is change your oil. It doesn't matter what brand you use . There's no miracle oil that will last forever.

But dirt and sludge will stay in the engine forever unless you remove it with the oil when you change it.

You put it in the engine every time that you use it.

Regolith, detritis, dust or whatever you call it, comes into the air intake. The air filter doesn't capture everything.

Obviously, if you don't change oil, the dirt stays in the engine.

    lol !

for a moment I thought you were referring to sludge or similar garbage that is left behind after every oil change.

yes, there is some of that in every engine... the ones with great designs have the flow across a magnet .. like the drain plug

"great designs have the flow across a magnet"

Last time I checked, dirt (and/or sludge) doesn't stick to a magnet....

G2 motor is a very clean running engine if you have sludge your using some crappy oil or piston rings are blown and you have bad blowby. Nothing will fix that. Lots of those on this site.

I understand your point since the climate is really hot here during summer. I have been trying to follow the recommendations.

Are you referring to the regular change period? Yes, I do that usually at around 4-5000 kilometers / 6 months mark.
