Mark my words May 2021. A Prius with under 20k miles in pristine condition as collectible in 20 years would worth more than the price it was sold new at the dealer!

For example a 1998 Toyota Supra Turbo in excellent condition sells today for $70-$120k.

I can't tell from the pictures in the ad if it has heated seats or not.

And 11k invested at 10% annual would be 74k in 20 years....

Any idea why? is it because cars that just don't get used tend to fall apart?

no, there was real wear and tear. some suspect an odometer roll back, no proof though.

That would take a computer hack to roll back the digital odometer on a Prius. It's not like the good ol' days when the odometer was a mechanical device.

all it would actually take is the purchase of a combination meter.....and about an hour to swap it out. Or actually make the electronics to reprogram it, which has already been done.

Its a non touring model, so no 16" wheels, larger spoiler, and tuned suspension. Wonder who buys a car thats made to be driven and only drives under 2k miles a year. Theres a heck of a lot more fun vehicles to drive for about the same price as a prius and a wiser choice if I wasnt putting that many miles a year. You wont have to deal with a hv battery dying for one.
