I own a 2017 V Five with 115000 miles. No issues except for regular maintenance. I drive back and forth from MD and NC, so it's pretty much all highway miles.

I am thinking I should get rid of the car before I have issues versus waiting for things to break down.

Would like to get some input about keeping it or selling.

You might get $5k more now than last year because of the new car shortages. But buying another vehicle might be higher than expected.

Love your V. Agree with previous posts calling your sale "insane". You'd have to pry my V out of my cold dead hands. Especially now when Hybrid and EV prices are 20%+ more than 6 months ago. I'd wait but if you sell, how much do you want for yours?

I live off a dirt road and would like a awd and higher clearance. This winter I had to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up too many times. I do have a winter set of tires but still got stuck. Could you give me some reasons why I should keep it.

Did the port injection cleaning, not sure if the EGR is part of that. I do drive 80 mph for 7 hours to NC and MD so hopefully I have minimum build up.

When would you sell your Prius? I thought I read earlier that I should get rid my Prius around 150k miles?

Well now that is quite a bit different? Had you lead with that my reply would have been quite a bit different. :)

Still, Toyota does make an AWD Prius now. Or if doable add a second used vehicle for winter use. A used Denali up to 2006 would be a good choice. They are built like tanks, most likely 100.000 miles or more and the parking brakes don't work and neither do the OEm Air Shocks. But that's about it and oh yeah ... they do like gas, and lot's of it. :)

Oh crap I did not see this. Plan B leash a Subbie so you can dump it when the problems start. :)

As I suggested earlier, selling it will bring a premium price right now. I have seen low mile versions listed for $23k earlier this week. A four year old car!

The real issue is finding the awd vehicle you want and locking it down at a price you are ok with. If you have not been seriously looking you might be surprised at the low inventories. One of the newest and biggest Toyota dealers in San Antonio literally has a huge empty lot facing the freeway. Some sedans on another lot and some Highlanders.

I was actually thinking about that. The miles that I put on my car is deterring me. But did check out Crosstreks and Outbacks.

Yeah forget my Denali plan. 80 mph and a 7 hour drive? I luv'd ours but MPG was not it's thing? I don't know if the instant mpg gauge could go into the negative? But it would sure as HE$$ try. I nailed the throttle to get on the Hwy and all 4500 lbs of that beast lunged forward, awesome!

I then looked at the MPG gauge and saw the numbers rapidly ticking down from 18 mpg! I let up when it hit 8 mpg because, I had 25 miles to go and with a quarter tank of fuel? I was not sure I could make it? I don't know if the gauge would actually show negative mpg? But it was sure gonna try.

And it holds 31 gallons of fuel. That choice would not work for you. Great for towing but they really don't like passing a gas station without taking a drink. :)

Dog's like Subby's according to there commercials so that's good. But the flat 6, I don't know? I hear they have "issues?" I don't know if it works for you but the WRX with the Turbo Four that one is still solid!

Your really between a rock and a hard place? There is nothing wrong with your Prius, but if it can't get you quite home, yeah?
