Voice command to control A/C fan speed

Whenever I use the Voice Command to enable the A/C, it turns on as expected but the fan speed is always on high. Prior to shutting it off each time, it is not left in that speed so I am not sure why it selects that speed when it is enabled via the voice command.

Does anyone know a voice command to control the fan speed? I have not been able to find one in any of the posts here, or in the Toyota provided material. Ideally, I wish it would not select high as the initial speed, but short of changing this, it would be nice to alter it via voice command.

As far as I know, there is no voice command to control the fan settings. The AC voice command works the same as pushing the AC button on the steering wheel. In most cases this means it comes on HI and in the outside air mode.

The only way this does not happen is to select AC on the MFD or push the LO and if AC was already on before it will kick on again...if not select your speed and then click on AC on the MFD.

FYI, here is a list of voice commands compiled for the system by others

Thanks for the reply. I could be mistaken (will verify it tomorrow), but I thought that when you enabled the AC via the MFD, it started at the fan speed that it was previously set for on the last enablement. Just curious why the voice command would not behave the same. Not much of an effort to slow down the fans via the old fashioned method, but thought there should be a way via voice command. Again, thanks....

Well the main problem is that if you use either the AC/AUTO button on the steering wheel

    OR

The voice command "Automatic Air Conditioning"

You are really turning on the "AUTO" feature. The Auto feature seems to normally trigger the highest fan setting along with the outside air setting.

As far as I have been able to tell, there is no voice command for the fan levels.

You are correct about the MFD. If you previously had the AC on but the fan off on you can then select the fan speed and the AC comes on at that speed. If you have the fan on already and click AC then the fan setting stays at that level while the AC comes on.

I am disappointed with the fan control on my Prius. It is hard to increase or decrease fan setting on the LCD screen while driving. It is dangerous. Am I missing something? No manual controls…….
