Hi all hope you are all well, i was driving my prius gen 3 1800cc 2010 model on the road suddenly i heard a little blast like small juice box exploding. After 2 to 3 sec the whole cabin wasfilled with moderate smoke. Previously i had replaced its eight battery cells the car was working fine. i had lilltle hit on catelic converter it was also sounding odd For 2 months when car is idle. Now the car is getting load while driving. its milage is 10 to 12 km/l in city. And now i am worried what it can be? Please help me with your expert openion.

If you've already replace cells in the hybrid battery pack, I suspect that you have more failed cells. So start your search there... Do you have any leaks in your exhaust system? Possibly your exhaust manifold flange gasket where catalytic converter connects has failed.

Sounds a bit like rapid unintentional disassembly of a module.

Toyota plainly says NOT to drive the car in Maintainance mode. But it's your car...
