prius hl.jpg I installed these eBay aftermarket 'smoke colored' headlights.
The smoke headlights, make my 2008 Prius look better than the factory ones.

*My neighbor has had after market headlights on his Prius now for over 2 years with no problems.

    Legality?

Q&A - Are Smoked Lenses Legal? | DriveSmartBC

My night-driving abilities and confidence waning; I shudder to even think of stuff like this. Ditto for window tint.

I feel weird even driving while wearing sun glasses; tried it years back and swore off right away.

I rather be able to see.
Legality depends on the state. It would be illegal here in California.

I assume all your driving is off-road? Most of these type of mods say they are for off-road use only. The lights noe have ess light output than when it was certified for road use by the US government

Nah, it's smoked. It's like tinting your headlights (why?), there's less output (again, why and one would want that?). I don't see a benefits for doing so except to look nice - but thats subjective also.

the question answered was availability, not legality.

I agree that it’s not a great idea to use smoke covers.
Being Cool as a reason to do something is rarely a good idea after age sixteen.

In connection with avoiding sunglasses though, it’s bizarre that you think there’s a safety issue unless you have an issue with your particular vision that makes it so. In fact excessive UV light is the major cause of cataracts and macular degeneration. Appropriate sunglasses block harmful UV.
