Constant Beep, All lights turned on, lost part cold air etc

    Please help. i’m about to move out of state next week and i will be driving there!

    disclaimer. So I haven’t added any oil since my last oil change, i think about 600 miles ago.

    i experienced a whole lot of issues all at once. my cars triangle light came on and the check engine light. the screen signified there was a problem on the display too. then as i was pulling into a parking lot, i lost part of my braking capability, it had a loud constant beep sound (same tone as the beep you get when you don’t put your seat belt on) and all the lights on the dash came on or most of them. i’m not sure if the periods between the constant beep and the breaks were consistent but it would randomly beep for about 30-60 secs and vice versa. when it beeps i notice the emergency parking brake light comes on and that’s when i experience the problems with the brakes. however when it’s not screaming at me, i have braking ability. on my way home, i was trying to drive very slow on the freeway and my car started to scream at me again but this time i lost the ability to accelerate... which meant i couldn’t hardly break or accelerate. i still have power steering but i noticed my AC wasn’t color either. i pulled over and shut the car off for 5 mins then started it back up and drove a mile to a parking lot and parked it. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY CAR?!

    Hi and welcome to PriusChat.

    Your car's ECUs have codes stored in them. You need to get the codes read and then take remedial action based on what they tell you.

    If you want to report them here we could give you advice on what you might be up against.

    It sounds serious and I certainly would not drive it out of state without getting it fixed.

    You are right about that. Take it to the dealer and at least find out what it is screaming about.

    The brake abs actuator has failed very expensive repair sorry. You now have poor brakes because of it.

    use the search forums link up top and search

    abs brake actuator

    tosee what others have gone through.

    Hey my ‘05 Prius hit 315k miles this month and is having all of these exact same symptoms!! I’m kinda freaking out. Just wondering if you ever figured out what was going on?
