Never had any service lights come on

The ABS takes about 6-7 seconds in the morning the re-pressurize after opening drivers door (used to be 1 second) then the buzzing noise happens for less than a second every 4th brake. Is this just signs of age or a complete ABS fail. I’m almost hoping that the codes will pop up so I can get this fixed under recall.

As it ages the re-pressurization will happen more frequently... Once it happens frequently enough you'll get warning lights. Once you get to the point you're hearing it re-pressurize every few minutes you can't safely keep going without replacing it with a used / new one.

That sounds pretty much like a description of absolutely normal to me.

I hesitate to write that, because some obsessive somewhere will read it and then panic if they hear theirs pump after three brakes.

It normally varies. Variables include how hard you brake, how much piston return the calipers have, how flat the rotors are, etc. The best answer is "about every so many uses of the brake."

But every 4 or so isn't anything I would obsess over at all.
