You're 100% wrong... The mods have never once deleted a single post related to that and when they do delete a post they communicate that they have done so and why.

It isn't rocket science to steal a cat, it's either two cuts with a saw or one cut and undoing two bolts. That's the only information you need and there's endless Youtube video so you can see what it all looks like.

If there was ever something they would delete about cat theft it would most likely be in my cat theft tracking post and they've not done so: Prius Cat Theft Tracking | PriusChat

Go to any car stereo store and make a list of what they sell and then go home and find it online for cheaper. You wouldn't need to spend much money. All you need is something that will make a siren run real loud if the car is jacked up when its not moving.

Why are gen2 cats easier to steal than gen3? Living in California I am thinking I need this.

I have a CCM cat security plate for sale if anyone is interested. It fits the 10-15 Prius. I will include a brand new hardware kit as well. This particular plate does have a tendency to rattle, FYI.

    $100

I know it’s been some time and c-19 is still a thing but at the next meet up (whenever that is) I took off my curt trailer hitch. It’s free to whoever wants it.

Sure! Let’s meet at my place!
It’s only a ten hour drive from the Bay Area, but the garage is great!

There's also a button pushing process that allows you to disable it without OBD2... Somewhere online you'll find a PDF for that...

You might need the info again because next time your 12v gets disconnected or goes dead it reverts back to default setting and reverse will start beeping again. :)

haven’t had that issue when I unplugged the 12v to swap out my steering wheel. Obviously didn’t want the airbag deploying haha

Yet another thing that's different with a newer Prius...
