That’s an important point….or those are important pointS.

I would tend to agree that absenting specific test results, most people do not KNOW that they know that they got the Rona, and thus…got the antibodies. A fully faxed family member lost taste/smell abruptly last week while battling something else prompting many negative tests.
The KY “study” is kinds short on the deets.
We have 3 vaccines on offer using 2 very different techniques with a low-side efficacy of 70-something and an advertised high side in the 90s, depending on whether you’re into the one-shot, two-shot, or (now) 3.
We also have “survivors” with mild Covid, near-death Covid, and all the flavors in-between, which will necessarily result in a wide range antibodies.
    BUT….
The line from THE science still seems to be STFU and just get the shot and wear your mask until WE tell you to not-to.
Medical professionals are right that Vax’d > Unvaxed (generally) but I’m going to tap the brakes a little bit before trying to persuade the ladies in my life to get little white cards for their small children.
They’re kicking people off of Boomer-Book and the Tweeeter machines for apostasy and yet I’m hearing allegedly smart people shamelessly woke-‘explain that we beat Polio, Smallpox, and the mumps with vaccines so now we have to do the same thing with the Rona. o_O
Science CAN get there…..but I’m thinking that even THE science is going to have to be a little more……patient.
People are just too good at detecting feces.
That’s how we were manufactured. ;)

The NBA is not my “go-to” for medical advice, but I sorta understand how some of the players must feel these days. Last year they the center of gravity for social wokeness.
This year, for some of them it’s more like STFU and just dribble the damn ball.
    YOUR body.
    OUR choice.

    Speaking of which….
Time for morning yard work before watching college ball!!

It will be interesting to see if they have mask mandates in Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge……

The 'line' from our local hospital is no free beds in the ICU. So emergency cases, just walk if off while the COVID-19 cowards rest well.
    W. Edwards Deming had a great quote that went something like this: "You don't need to change – your survival is not mandatory."

We had two cops shot in this area and a dead body dumped from a car. So ICU occupancy was important, yesterday.

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (WAFF) - The Sheffield Chief of Police confirmed Sgt. Nick Risner, a K-9 Officer with the department, was the officer injured in the officer-involved shooting.

Sgt. Risner is in critical condition after a shoot-out with a suspect who is in the very same hospital. A large law enforcement presence is outside of Huntsville Hospital Friday night praying for their brother in blue.

Another Sheffield Police Officer who was involved in the shooting was wearing a bulletproof vest and did not get injured. The suspect was also shot, but we are unaware of their condition at this time.

All The Hospitals In Idaho Are Rationing Care Because Of COVID-19 Surge

Source_4: Some U.S. hospitals forced to ration care amid staffing shortages, COVID-19 surge | Reuters

Sept 17 (Reuters) - Surges in coronavirus cases in several U.S. states this week, along with staffing and equipment shortages, are exacting a mounting toll on hospitals and their workers even as the number of new admissions nationwide ebbs, leading to warnings at some facilities that care would be rationed.

Montana, Alaska, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Kentucky experienced the biggest rises in new COVID-19 hospitalizations during the week ending Sept. 10 compared with the previous week, with Montana's new hospitalizations rising by 26%, according to the latest report by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Sept. 14.

In Alaska, the influx is so heavy that the state's largest hospital is no longer able to provide life-saving care to every patient who needs it due to the influx of COVID-19 hospitalizations, according to an open letter from the medical executive committee of Providence Alaska Medical Center this week.

"If you or your loved one need specialty care at Providence, such as a cardiologist, trauma surgeon, or a neurosurgeon, we sadly may not have room now," the letter read. "There are no more staffed beds left."

Wish you wouldn't practice Fox News lying by omission. It is too easy to puncture with facts and data especially here. You aren't very good at it.

good question, it's been almost 50 years.

otoh, whatever knowledge of viruses our experts had coming into this, certainly was put to the test, because each virus seems to have its own subtlties, and much needs to be learned, or learned again.

even my own docs were thrown a curveball, stating that pandemics were a small to nothing part of medical training.

I'm not going to order them to go dribble the damn ball. Now that leper colonies and TB sanitariums are closed and ships are not being held at anchor offshore for 40 days, staying home on unpaid leave is a valid choice.

When a country has a total household net worth of $142 Trillion, then a $29 Trillion federal debt means it is still a very rich country.

sooooo, you're neither a medical doctor,
nor a paper doctor of engineering ?

ok, tell me how to decorate a cake. I'm all ears.

okokok, I'm just ribbing you about being almost a paper doctor...

I think you've missed the point just the same

What i now know is that you have not provided any supporting detail for your rather unbelievable claim.

I see it as scaremongering FUD.

Love some of the “peer review” that’s occurring in the study page link.
I tend to place some value in the study since the Brits have NHS and thus “contact tracing” is simplified.
Like the first commenter, I think that measuring particles per snot locker (particles per nostril divided by 2) is an interesting way to tally “victims” …..but it’s the yardstick we have.

….so in just a few short years we go from “You didn’t build that” to “You don’t even own that.”
The American government doesn’t have a net worth of 149t….the American PEOPLE do….unless you graduated from the same business school as DJT and don’t really “own” anything but rather spend your life conning partners and using lawyers to steal other peoples savings.
    Why 149t?
Why not round it up to 150?
Using the same monetary policy we should just start “minting” $1,000,000,000,000,000.00 “coins” out of platinum plated bamboo and maybe put P.T. Barnum’s picture on the front and a picture of a lollipop on the obverse.

I thought was made quite clear by the "household" basis.
142T was already rounded up from 141.7T. Stretch-rounding to 150T (then 160, 200, and 250T) instead of the closer 140T is DJT-school stuff.

does that include real estate, which can go down faster than up?

and how does it help pay for shots for poor countries with no debt?

    Yes, that is included:

"... the value of real estate rose a record $1.2 trillion to $38.4 trillion, the Fed said in its quarterly report on the financial accounts of the United States."

You’re not wrong about the way people consume news now if we can call it that. I still say it’s not prevalent information with the news either being anti-vax or pro-vax.

it would appear that inside is much worse than outside, even in close quarters
