Anybody know of other Nationwide auto repair warranties other than Technet, Napa or Certified Auto Repair Centers that are decent?

Not talking about extended warranties for vehicles but for specific repairs. Neccessary if you travel for work.

I have an expensive repair I've been putting off on AC system.

I've only used Technet and they were easy to work with, many shops and can even use shops outside of their network if they have some nationwide repair warranty.

Hard to google this as extended warranty sites and articles is all that comes up so far.

I suspect if you do enough research on businesses that set up financing services for emergency fleet maintenance you'll eventually find a smaller operation willing to cover a small number of vehicle(s). As in this is more of a financial service thing than a vehicle warranty service thing.

    Prius Camper here too.
I'm not a fleet. I'm talking warranty on each individual repair like many auto shops offer but you have to take it back to them if it fails. With nationwide warranty you can go to any shop in their network or in case like technet they allow you to go to any shop that has a national warranty program.

Not to be confused with car repair warranty you buy with a new car or these extended warranties you can get (buyer beware) This is just for one repair like if you had ac compressor and condensor replaced you'd get for example a 2 year 24K mile warranty that you can use to take to a shop in their network only for that repair. Some offer 3 year 36K mile warranty on individual repairs.

When you travel like me or any other Prius Camper it can be valueable. There is no overt charge for this and some will even offer roadside assistance with it.

I may have answered my own question as other options seem weak like repair pal having much less options.

Only downside with some is if you are in the same city still where the repair was done you have to return to them under their own shop warranty which may be less miles and time OR go 25 miles outside the city or whatever number they stipulate. Technet I believe was flexible when a shop had altered mileage records and refused to work with me. Still had to submit records to them and CarFax to proove my case but for $1600 it was worth it. Think I showed I had to have been driving at 300 mph 24-7 for a year straight lol :)

That's another benefit of not having to go back to a the same shop.

The 3 previous repair warranty companies mentioned all have a certified shop locators on their sites using city or zip code.

The one repair I had under actually 3 warranties (The shops, Technet,Certified Repair Centers) was actually lower total cost than other shops in the area but that may differ from shop to shop. Still buyer beware on any of the shops but at least you have some peace of mind if the repair was bad or even just part failed you are covered for re-repair up to what you originally paid including labor and parts.

Update Technet is the administrator for their own auto repair warranty program, Napa and about 40 other auto repair warranty programs that repairs done in shops. Again to be clear this is not auto warranties you buy with a new car or extended warranties.

There is some confusion among shops. Napa Certified shops don't have to use Napa parts and Technet certified shops don't have to use advanced auto parts. In both cases it is the shop's choice. They do get discounts at either respectively and the programs do come out each company respectively (Napa, Advanced Auto).

Will update as I find more info

Other big ones administered by Technet are:

    good year

    auto value

    auto plus

    honest one

but not Certified Auto Repair Centers

My point is if vehicle is part of your business, even if it's a fleet of one, there will be companies that provide that coverage and likely far more reasonable than car repair warranty products that are a huge money maker for those offering them and near worthless for those buying them. But more to the point you're ovethinking this. non-viable fix.

You're always gonna be better off putting the money you'd spend on these crappy car warranty scams into a bank account and using that money if or when you need repairs. That way at the end of your car's life when a major repair comes up you can decide on putting that set-aside money towards your next car or towards the repair.

Again I am not talking about crappy car warranties that cost money. I am talking about the warranty you get when you go into a shop and they do a repair. Some shops have national warranties for that specific repair ONLY meaning if you are not in the location to return to that shop you can go to another shop to have the problem fixed under that warranty.

You are talking about warranties you get with a new car or the extended warranties I would never buy that are supposed to cover you for major repairs depending on the warranty after you pay an exorbitant amount of money. Some are worse than others.

I am talking about warranties after the fact ONLY for that specific repair. It does not cover anything else.

It covers generally up to the cost of the original repair. The shop either offers this national warranty for that specific repair or not. Some have several. They get discounts for example from Napa or Advance Auto BUT they don't have to use these parts. They can use OEM.
The shop actually pays to be in this program not the customer although you could argue that the cost is passed on to the consumer.

Now if it came down between a shop I trust and knows what they are doing and another shop I'm not so sure about but has a national warranty for their repairs I would liklely go with the first shop

I'm not aware of nation-wide auto repair services other than Midas and Firestone... But they are primarily focused on one part of the vehicle they service. Thinking it's more of a regional thing and finding a general repair shop with locations all across the country is something I've not seen.

Okay I'll add those 2 to the other 40+ National ones for personal owners not fleets. Thanks.
