You know the screen on the display where it shows how efficient your EV driving has been for each recent day? For instance it might show:
    OCT 09 4.2
    OCT 10 5.1
    OCT 11 3.9

The display averages ALL EV driving on that same day (even if you take multiple trips) -- as long as it's on the same day, it combines ALL EV driving on that day to give you your day's continuously-updating efficiency number, not just the most recent trip on that day.

OK, here's my stupid, who-cares question:

Since I've never bothered driving EV when midnight rolls around (by midnight if I was still driving, the EV would most likely be depleted anyway) I was wondering if anyone driving on EV around midnight noticed if....

    (a) As soon as midnight hits, the EV daily efficiency score immediately moves to a new day's date?
    Or
    (b) It continues with the current old date, and will only move to the next day's date after the engine is shut off and restarted?

Yes, this is not exactly an earth-shattering question for the ages. But as I often look at my efficiency scores (usually manage to get 4.8-5.2 range) I always wonder what would happen with the scores at midnight if still driving on EV...

Interesting question. I think the (b) is what happens. But that's just my guess. If you don't usually drive around midnight, I certainly do not either, then you can test it yourself by setting your clock off. If you set the AM and PM wrong on purpose, the clock will be 12 hours off. You can drive around noon time to see what happens to the daily record. If you try it, let us know what you find out. Or, there may be someone on this forum who does a midnight run of a sort and can report to us without changing the day and night. LOL

I did it once and had entries on the next day;).

So in my experience it splits it(y).

Thanks. Now I don't have to set the clock wrong. ;)

I use to watch baseball games past midnight often, but no more. After 2004, no more lovable losers for me.:cry::cry:

If I have to stay up past midnight to watch baseball, it's a rare occasion:).

One of the more redeeming qualities of living on the best coast is that all sporting events begin earlier for us;).

    Helpful for avid sports fans(y).
