    Hello,

I have been driving my Prius III (2013) for about 6 months. Until 1 week ago, the vehicle behaved as expected. Now, the Bluetooth turns off after about 1 minute of being on. It will not turn back on. I did clear the paired devices under the clear personal data menu option, then I got my phone to reconnect. Then, Bluetooth shut down. It seems as though many are having this issue. Any solutions out there? Is this an issue that would be covered for repair under the warranty. My car is still under the original factory warranty.

Reply: I have a 2015 Prius also and my bluetooth was shutting off 100% of the time as well. I deleted the pairing and paired it again as a new device. During the process, one of the option was to allow for "Text/Message" access. I made sure this time to select NO. I have to say after 4 months with this bluetooth challenge, this problem has finally solved for me and I have been content for 2 month now. I hope this helps others.

The update to the 57011 MFD is really easy to do yourself for free. You download the files from Toyota. Then you copy them to a freshly formatted USB thumb drive.

If your expansion box is dead, then the software update might not help. I have a known working 57011 with expansion box for $100 plus actual shipping cost.
