Is this not DRCC or the button to adjust the distance between the cars???

Is it for the Dynamic (also called adaptive) cruise control?

I am being told different things from different people.

The picture is low resolution, and I can't tell what the icon is even when on maximum magnification.

What year and model is this from? Looking at the user manual is really your best bet.

Or one could just turn on the DRCC and press that button to see the distance indicators come on the display if you want to be in "Hey! What's this button do?" mode.

Oddly, the LKA button which is immediately below has no writing on it. I've never seen one without the other, but maybe this is a first.

Canadian models didn’t come with LKA.

    Also PiPs didn’t haven LKA.

Interesting. The LKA is virtually worthless anyway.

So I guess if it's a Gen 3 and the OP is in Charlotte, then the car started life north of the border.

Finally I have access to all the brochures, spec sheets, and original window stickers. Settles a lot and ends a lot of arguments with sellers... (dealers and people) misleading buyers... whether intentional or not. Many blame it on a service... but I think that is BS.
Even within Toyota there are some weird discrepancies... like one 2012 plugin sticker says Dynamic Laser cruise control... but the brochures and spec sheets all say DRCC (radar). This is not like candy... these are 30K purchases. Mistakes like that don't fly in my book.

Well... once upon a time they were 30k. Now they're less, usually with less profit to be made selling them.

It looks like you're figuring it out though- once it's a used car, nobody is going to work that hard to sell them when demand is high- used cars are already selling themselves just fine. Working out the fine details to make sure you are satisfied with what you find is 100% on you.

    Good luck with your search!

I think it's dynamic radar cruise control.

    1. You set a speed if there is nobody in front of you it goes that constant speed.
    2. If there is someone in front of you it will automatically adjust speed to keep the distance you set, unless the one in front is going faster than your set speed then it will keep the speed you set.

    REVVL V+ 5G ?

    easiest way to tell people
    1) dial the speed you want and set the car lengths.
    2) if the car in front of you is going faster than your cruise setting you will only go as fast as your setting
    3) if the car in front of you is going slower than your setting, the you will follow at a constant distance even if that car slows down...
to a point where you need to activate the brake.

That is pathetic. No wonder Carvana (POS) is doing so well.
DB wanna swipe and enter into a 6 year commitment on something that costs most people a years salary... with out even test driving it.

It would be nice if I could tell someone which model I drive without having to explain what the "prime" means, and what the "advanced" means, and the oddly named features...

And then that explanation is followed with the disclaimer that if they want to buy one, this year's model uses different names for most of that.
