I want to replace the power outlet on the "console between the seats" on the rear passenger side. I have been calling this the center console... maybe that is the wrong term...
Anyone have any links on videos or pics to explain how to do this? I have been searching for a while and come up with nada for a gen 4 prius.
So far I have not found any screws to remove... so thinking it must be a lego pull apart type thing.
For the record... I really have tried to get the answer before posting the question here.

That is super awesome. Sure would like to know where you guys get this stuff from!

Do add, the back just pulls off... as I just found out, but try to do it slowly. Cut my thumb at the cuticle... bleeding a lot for such a small cut. It resisted but came out all of a sudden.

Now if I can find the connector at autozone.. I can replace the outlet with one of these.

The socket does not seem to work, it seems to be too narrow inside.

Good job! Yep, one thing I love about Toyota's is how much of it clicks apart/together like a big Lego set! I had to remove my wife's center console (2017 Prius) last summer for cleaning after she spilled her Starbucks coffee in there.
Even the front grill of my 2014 Tundra just clicks apart (after removing a few bolts from the top). In the last Gen Tundra, you have to remove the front grill to replace the headlights...pretty dumb, huh? The secret is to know where the tabs are and in what direction to pull/tug so you don't break anything.

It’s an excerpt from an older edition of Toyota’s Repair Manual (more info).
