Fuel pressure zero

The car is not really starting. It only sounds like it is as the electric motor is spinning the engine at around 1,000 RPM and stopping when the engine does not fire. You will quickly delete the hybrid vehicle (HV) battery doing this, so get the problem fixed or have an HV battery charger on standby.

It would seem like a logical thing to test. You could also just apply 12 V for a couple of seconds to the pump plug to see if it runs.

You could then test the harness connector to see if 12 V was present with the car in IG-ON.

 

Have you tried just adding 5 gallons of gas?

My fuel pump would not work after runnning out of gas.
Checked everything after putting 7 gal of gas in the tank, fuses, relays, throtle body, and a jumper 12volts on the fuel pump. at first i was not getting any fuel out of an unhooked fuel line but since i didnt want to change the tank I kept trying even reversed the poles. After at least a dozen trys with the jumper it started pumping gas. I think it was dry and just wouldnt prime the pump. What a life saver. Thank you God! Page 11 on the work up quoted shows where to connect the jumper to the pump.

 

An after thought, it probably would never have pumped gas since it had air in the lines with back pressure. When I unpluged the line it reduced the pressure and I could see the fuel coming out when it finally did.
