    Hey,
My 2006 Prius SKS button on the hatch is missing its rubber cover.
I want to replace it, but can't find the replacement part. Can't even find the part number...
Can somebody help? A number or a link to a store is all I need.
    Thank you!

Are you sure it isn't callout 84947 in this drawing?

Go to the hardware store and buy a gasket making kit or find some thick rubber or plastic. One time I made one out of an old pink water bottle. This is a repair that doesn't cost anything but time. And knowing Toyota they'll probably force you to buy the entire switch assembly and pay over a $100 rather than just the cover. Ripping you off is more important to Toyota than making it an easy repair.

Honest, the list price on Toyota's parts site is about a buck.

Usually you can find a dealer selling 20% or 30% off list ... for example, I see Toyota of Louisville offering it for $0.75. But this might be one of those cases where you ask how important it is to chase the best deal.

Somebody would probably have to offer me more than a buck before I would spend time crafting one from rubber stock.

Oops, I thought this was the rear hatch latch not the sks cover...

    Thank you so much!
I've got the number before and was googling it, but never found a place where I could buy it.
(i'm a new prius owner, so haven't discovered the Toyota ecosystem yet:)

    That's a great idea!
Haven't thought of it, but it really does look like an easy DIY fix.:)
    Thanks!

Ah! I had not noticed Slovenia in your profile at first.

Is there a Toyota dealership within a convenient distance?

In the US, there usually is. They are usually not the least expensive source for a part, and the prices are sometimes very reasonable for one part and seemingly exorbitant for something else, and it is hard to predict. It is often worth checking at the dealership, anyway, because for some parts the price will be reasonable enough, and save all the trouble and uncertainty of hunting around for a better deal on some third-party part, or improvising something.

Here in the US, they also have a very efficient distribution network, so that even if the dealer does not have a certain part in stock, it will likely arrive the next morning (!) and without any charge added for the overnight delivery.

Yes, there are dealerships, but we're such a small market, that Toyota did not provide a part finder on their website. Or so it seems.

I've sent them an email - the button is super cheap and will be here in 2 days.

    Really appreciate the help!
