So, just bought my m8's 2007 Gen2 Prius with a nice 12months mot and 273000 miles for the pricely sum of £500. Now, just had the Dr.Prius app say that the efficiancy of the HV battery is 61.75%
That seems good afyer 15yrs taxiing I think lol, it drives fine and is averaging 51mpg on my 12mile commute.
I must say coming from a Jaguar STR it is very different beast, but funnily enough in a good way and i'm enjoying the expreience.

Would you say this battery has average life left so hopefully another couple of years?

    cheers and hello everyone

    congrats and welcome!

they say the best thing for a hybrid battery is use, and taxiing accomplishes that. they have known to do well over 300k, so you should be good for at least a few years with any luck.

    all the best!(y)

If it's running well and still gets good fuel economy no real reason to change it out now or worry much about it. It might last a long time and it might not, but nothing to really to be concerned about at the moment. I would consider making sure you have some budget put aside for a replacement just in case, but drive it like you stole until you have a good reason to change it. 61% should put it in the fair range, so the magic 8 ball says... should be good for a while.
