Thinking about getting a 2006 Prius with ~98K miles. Supposedly from original owner. Car is said to be in great shape, but it’s clearly below book value. I’m on SSI and I’m concerned about getting in over my head. I might be able to do some repairs but I am new to the DIY.

    any suggestions are welcome.

i would honestly recommend not getting a hybrid vehicle in your situation.

If you or a friend has basic car repair skills this website will walk you through everything you need to know to keep your car going for a really low price. But if you're the kind of person that depends on a major auto repair shop or a Toyota Stealership you're gonna regret all the scams and ripoffs for even simple repairs.
