Prius newbie waiting to get my 2022 AWD Nightshade Editionin black. It's supposed to arrive sometime mid March and I'm very excited. Have never been a fan of the look of the Prius until I saw the Nightshade. Now I'm obsessed and reading everything and anything I can on it. Not to mention watching all of the YouTube Videos I can.

I'm coming from a 2008 Lincoln MKZ that gets crap gas mileage. Since I deliver a lot for one of my jobs the Prius seems like a dream. I'm looking forward to learning more about it. Thanks!

Hope the nightshade Prime delivers as much excitement as you're anticipating. You've come to the right place to learn or get questions answered about the Prius. Enjoy.

I picked up my nightshade (fwd) about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Already have 1500 miles on it an am getting about 48mpg driving 90% highway. I really like seeing the display hitting 150mpg and all electric.

I haven't noticed the light on the ground yet. I will have to pay attention the next time I get into it at night.

I was thinking a few pics of the Nightshade in the snow would be cool, even in black and white.. Though it looks like the snow just missed your area today. :)
I like the pic of that light reflecting off the road too.

If you’re referring to the one that says “Prius” in the pics I think that is an after market replacement for the regular door light. It does look good

It looks to me like the Prius lighted logo is reflecting off the pavement. Now that you mention it I'm curious what light is making that happen, that is if that logo is reflected off the pavement in that pic.

When I first saw the Nightshade on the Toyota web page it was all black and I thought that was tbe only way the Nightshade trim was sold. Than I read here that other body colored cars are being given Nigthshade trimmings too. I know that the Prius logo lighted door sills are a dealer offered accessory for all Prius trims, what I don't know is if the Black body Prius Nightshade gets extra goodies that the other colored body Pri with Nightshade trims added on, don't get, like the Prius logo door sills, tinted windows and whatever that light is that in that picture.

No logo for my black ns and no tinted windows.

The dealer add-on are mandatory. I couldn't get a car without the extra stuff.

Anyway, I am liking the car more and the mileage is going up. I seem to have better luck with highway mileage than around town mileage.
65 mpg last tank and the first 7 tanks average 50.x.

just an FYI about the hwy mileage (at least when the Primes is new). 2 silicon valley area owners last year reported like 80 mpg at like 90 mph for their commutes with pics, but didn't give much other data like how far the commute was, if they used HV mode at all Or if all was in EV mode. And they haven't reported back yet about if that has changed for them this year, which I'm kinda suspecting it has probably dropped some as the cars ECUs' history data accumulates.
My first 800 mile interstate trip south in fall as temps here were falling locally was 72 mpg at 65 to 85 mph. I've only gotten more than that once on a warm windy (25 mph tail wind at 55 mph mostly) clocked in at 91 mpg.
I haven't seen other trips like that very often, but the car still surprises me every once in a while.
edit: and I'm the secondary driver of the car and luckily the primary has a 10 mile each way commute, or I'd be seeing less exciting news about both EV and HV mpg due to traffic flow during rush which merrdas mpg.
