MyT just informed me that the build of my 2022 is complete and the car had “rolled off the production line”
Now just the 4 month boat trip to the UK from Japan for delivery.
    Lol.

Ohh, is that what it’s called? Our name for that colour is Electric Storm Blue.

    AWD?

My current one is your “Electric Storm Blue”, which is “Blue Crush” in UK the new one is a Dark Blue Pearlescent ( a bit like the 2020 phantom blue ) F9F51623-B23F-40B3-8147-3EEBEE0617C4.png

Huh. Ok we don’t get that colour.

Your Phantom Blue is our Galactic Blue and while we do have it on other Toyotas (include the Prius v before it was discontinued), it has never been offered on the Gen 4.

It’s really confusing naming, I must admit, as Galactic Blue was available on the 2016-2019 gen 4 as a metallic not pearlescent. I always thought it had a purplish sheen in the sun. 44CF984B-E741-45D3-A7BC-5A97640CB7D1.jpeg

We had a purplish blue for 2016 - Blue Crush Metallic. That was swapped for the bright blue - Electric Storm.

Galactic Blue Mica is dark green/blue. Or dark teal even.

Funny how colours come and go. I have seen more Electric Storm Prii than the original Blue Crush. Might explain why they dropped it after a year.

In your pic the color looks a lot like the Yamaha Deep Purplish Blue that it paints a lot of it's race bikes (YZF - R6 and YZF - R1) with. But the Deep Purplish Blue is just metallic with no pearl on top and only looks purplish in low light while in full sun it looks mostly just shinny blue.

Since you got a factory tow bar, can you check what the manual says about towing?
It would be great to be able to tell the people on this side of the pond who quote the manual and say it says not to tow anything with the Prius, that the EU models have the green light from Toyota to tow stuff.

Which pic? The Phantom blue is the closest. The pic with the top box was my Galaxy Blue 2016

Opps - my bad for not understanding all the posts.
Not that I actually get all of the thread yet, either - after looking through toyota uk ...

Initially, I thought the pic in your post #9 was the new car already delivered, since it looks so much different that your avatar pic. It helps to read the OP before replying, I almost got there (the OP) early this morning - I think my UTC clock read 5 am.
Adding to confusion is never nice, sorry. (trying to find something humorous, boll-ocked )

This post and link helped me figure out a lot of stuff, besides what's being discussed in this thread.

The 221 Phantom Blue looks pretty much like black with a smidge of blue added. In that pic anyways
