One of my front calipers seized on my way home from work yesterday. My car spent most of its life in Minnesota so I'm just going to replace both front calipers, hoses, rotors, and pads. I replaced the rear calipers a year or so back when money was tight so I didn't replace the pads or rotors. I'll get them this time around.

Please look at this list and let me know if I'm missing anything. I spoke briefly with the parts department at my local dealership over the phone, they seemed very busy and not interested in making sure I was getting everything.

    It's for a 2012 v

Were these part numbers correct? Thank you for posting them!

I'm trying to find new rear rotors for my 2012 Prius, for some reason there's no listing on the autoparts.toyota.com site for the rear rotors, but a google search came up with part# 42431-06110, and you have here listed part# 42431-47080. The Toyota web site shows neither fit my VIN so I'm not sure what to order. When I put my VIN into the Toyota web site, it translates to: "2012 Prius Three 5Dr. Sedan, 2WD 1.8L L4 CVT".

for your 2012 Prius rear brake rotors try this part # 42431-12310
looking up the number you posted above 42431-06110 on toyotapartsdeal.com says that rotor doesn't fit your 2012 Prius.

Thanks for the response. Part# 42431-12310 is a drum, but my car has disc brakes in the rear.

I double checked using the part # I posted above in browser search after you said that part came up as a drum brake part. And I too saw some links is the search results saying drum brake. Go to any toyota parts web page and you should see that part number is for a disk rotor and a disk rotor that fits your Gen 3. 2012

if your part(s) are out of stock or backordered for some reason, once you are sure you have to right part # for your car it's a lot easier to find after market brake parts that are near to if not equal to OEM brake parts, except for the pads (I read recently that Toyota OEM pads are the best according to testing results) at Arts Garage berkeley .

Thank you everyone for the replies. This is to close the loop for the next person with the same question as me; I took the car for new tires yesterday and told them go ahead and put the new rear brakes on (I got lazy) while they have the car, but they called and said it did not need rear brakes so nothing to do. Which is interesting, because the car was at the dealer a few months ago for a recall and they told me the rear brakes should be replaced. So all of this to say, I did not order the discs and therefore cannot verify the part number, but I will save all of this info for when it does need rear brakes. :)

In Florida rotors will likely last the life of the car. Unless rotors are hopelessly rusted up, I would first check rotor runout and thickness (requires magnetic base dial indicator and micrometer, both of which can be acquired for under $100 USD). This is for Prius v? I don't have Repair Manual for that, but 3rd gen Prius should be "similar", at least for rotor specs. For definitive, a short term Tech Info subscription would help. Attached is for 3rd gen Prius.
