Prime 2017 Brake Torque Specs Front/Rear

    Hi Guys,

I need to verify to make sure I have the correct torque for front and rear brakes.

What's the front brake caliper torque specs? Is it 25 ft/lb?
What's the front brake rotor bracket torque specs? Is it 79 ft/lb?

What's the rear brake caliper torque specs?
What's the rear brake rotor bracket torque specs?

I'll be replacing both rotors and pads for our Prius Prime 2017 front and rear.

Any suggestions where I can download Prius Prime 2017 repair service manual?

    Thank you.

I checked the pads are very thin and worn out.

does anyone know the torque specs. The website you have requires subscription. I just need 2 torque specs for the front and rear.

Take a look at “3rd gen rear brake….” link in my sig; there’s some tips and DIY strategies.

    Mendel Leisk,

Thank you for brake service manual. Thank you for your tips in your sig. I already know I will be following your brake fluid replacement procedure.

Is this the one in your sig "3rd Gen Rear Brake drag info", you're referring when you wrote "Take a look at “3rd gen rear brake….in your sig”?

Also, I would like to post this YouTube link from Toyota brake pads and rotors installation tips I found for other forum members who's thinking of doing the brakes themselves too.

Please share if you have more tips. I'm hoping to replace the brake pads and rotors later today or by tomorrow. Our 2017 Prius Prime has almost 94k miles and almost 5 years old is due for major maintenance. So far, all I have done are oil and air filter change and vacuum battery vent; After the brake pads and rotors, I will perform brake fluid replacement. Then possibly replace all the cooling fluids and transmission fluids. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Thanks again for all your help because at this time we can't afford to hire someone to do this for us or take to the dealership.

    Yes

A pair of M8x1.25 bolts can thread into holes on the rotor hubs, help break them loose if rust-glued.
