IMG_7182.jpg Just purchased a nice 2010 prius executive with solar roof and all extras. Not much rust.

Quite an old car and with 240k km on it. Seems well taken of with no oil usage so far. I´ve never heard about problems with oil usage on priuses sold here, only issues with some Avensis engines.

    So far I´ve:

    Changed oil and transmission fluid
    Air and cabin filter
    Front brakes
Cleaned Intake manifold and pipe. Not too clogged.

Will replace both coolants - very expensive fluid btw. Will also clean egr valve and cooler.

Fun car to drive. How many more km do you think it can last? My goal is at least 3 years....

I have same car (solar 2010) I see you cleaned the mainfold did you look at condition of EGR cooler also?.

The EGR cooler is real problem I looked at mine at 200K and it was completely plugged. I cleaned EGR system then car ran terrible. With ERG clean and exhaust gas flowing like new it ran rough because the manifold which was plugged up at cyl #1 and #2 . Then a urgent trip to repair shop they cleaned manifold and then ran perfect. If you ignore plugged EGR you will overheat engine, warp head or lock up motor and have a nice Prius solar paperweight.

Find out what critical items such as EGR, waterpump, inverter pump have been serviced by previous owners, take care of those critical items left to fix and drive another 100K

Interesting, has the LED headlights, fog lights and headlight washers. And is that proximity sensors on the bumper?

    Good luck with it.

Yes, I will clean the egr cooler at the same time I change the engine fluid. Worried about getting it out.....

I paid about $6000 for it. Prius are "cheap" here because "everyone" wants an electric car now.

Lots of subsidies for electric cars here. We bought this as a second car. We already have a new Tesla 3. I like both. If it was not for the high gas prices I could very well live with the prius only.

I have a similar model 2010. Because of the weight of all of the extras, the carrying capacity has been lowered compared to other models. I don't know if I've ever used the headlight washers, except when I hit the switch by mistake. I like the looks of the 17 inch wheels and low profile tires, but I suspect that they rob a bit of fuel mileage. I can't tell if the OP has 17 inch wheels. We have about 80K miles on the vehicle.

Did you mount the LED light strip?

Looks like 15", not sure if that's down to previous owner, or the way they come.

We have the 17", came stock thus; they do impose a bit of mpg penalty, but not bad.

My record low usage so far is 0,35 l/km. Mixed city etc is about 0,5 (48 MPG). Satisfied with that.

Yes the extra led light is popular in rural areas here. Came installed.

Changed the pcv valve and cleaned cabuerator today. A small pool of oil in bottom intake manifold....

I will clean egr, then I will leave it as that and pray it will run for 3 years except for oil changes.

So the executive trim includes LKA, cruise distance and parallel assist parking packages?

Yes, I belive this was the top model sold here. I´ve never tried autopark. Seems too scare and complicated. But TACC works great, better than autopilot in tesla. also solar does not charge the batteries it seems.

Oil there is typical, even in examples with low oil consumption (mine, for example).

0.035L/km is good, but not unbeatable.

Do you know why is oil consumption less prevalent there?

Congratulations, and good luck with it!

Brochures are typical dead on but Toyota dropped the ball on not including the executive trim.

    Carburetor?

The intake manifold needs to be cleaned as well and is a no brainer to do along with the EGR and EGR cooler as it's not much extra work compared to doing them separately. There's little ports on the manifold that clog up and lead to poor performance. I just dealt with it 45,000 miles after my last cleaning so I'm going to be doing it again at around 35k to 40k next time.

$6,000 for a rare find like that fully loaded.
This would be the one for me too if I found it here, I wanted to find one in white.

I settled for a black level IV

    Congrats, you got really lucky.

Strangely enough, used car prices are not inflated here(yet). Lots of priuses for sale at reasonable prices. Maybe start an export business soon ... :)

I think most people wants an electric car now. We do not pay sales tax and almost 0 on toll roads for electric cars.

Just eidtorial: should this be 3.5 liters per 100 kilometer?

    @fil100 that's displayed, not calculated?

The solar onlythe runs the fan for the climate control. The button to turn it on it’s by the drivers left knee.
