Anyone else have a hood that no longer follows the body lines?

    Other possibility, did you have it in a shop and get could have somehow screwed up your hood? Oil change guy tried slamming it down with something on top of the engine? Whacked it into it while the hood was propped up lifted it into the ceiling?

    But it often cracks upon impact. If it was a soft enough hit to only bend in the plastic, and not damage the paint, it most likely wouldn't have deformed the metal superstructure.

    Like I said earlier in this thread, this literally happened on my Hyundai. The plastic bumper appeared undamaged but the metal beneath was bent.

    I just bought a used 1 owner 2018 Prius IV that has the exact same issue.... did you find a solution? It looks like the hood latch simply needs to be loosened and slid "down" about 1/4 in and retightened.... any thoughts?

    I thought the same.

    IIRC, when I looked at the hood latch adjustment, mine was as low as it could go. There is a support beam directly underneath it, and it seemed that further adjustment would have to come from the base of that if possible.
