I want to get some body work done on the front of my car. My question is do you think I could get by just putting a bra on the front of the car to cover the damage from eyesight? My car runs well but has $160k trying to decide if its really worth it to fix. Ultimately its an eye sore to me.

I will upload pictures soon my phone is dead at the moment.

Have a look at used car prices and realize how much more valuable your car is compared to a couple years ago. And there's way too many people getting body work done right now because of the chip supply crisis and auto industry failing to rapidly pivot to EV so holding on to what you got is slamming body shops, especially in crowded placed like SF Bay Area. I bet they're all booked out months in advance.

So If I were you I'd buy a replacement bumper cover on ebay for a couple hundred, plus clips and accessories, as well as getting a new hood from a junk yard and hire a friend or DIY it all into place, then get your car wrapped or painted at a future date to cover up all the primed parts you bought.

Thank you. Here are some pics for reference. I guess my main question is, can I put a bra on the front of this and cover the damage? Some of my local quotes to fix have been outrageous!

Thank you for this advice here. Reviewing what you said I think Im just going to go the bumper cover route and ask my step Dad who's extremely happy to help me mount the bumper. He's also a contractor / painter by trade. So I bet he could paint it for me. Thanks again.
