o_O So they can copy Audi, BMW and Volkswagen? What a pain when changing wheels. Can't just hang the wheel on the wheel studs but you have to line up the holes. With 18" and 20" wheels that gets changed twice a year, swell.

I was just gonna say... an alignment stud is a great shop tool, the advanced diyer would obtain or make one trivially. The cheapest would just be a bit of threaded rod.

Very useful in my earlier life with aircooled VWs.

Better to find out now, rather than when they have sold 1 million.

For wheels held on by bolts, maybe piece of round bar, say 3/8" diameter by at least a foot long. Set the wheel close to the hub, run the rod through the top hole on the rim, and into the top threaded recess on the hub. Then lever up the rod, push the wheel against the hub, get one bolt started.

    Kinda a variation on this:

    Wheel Install Aid | PriusChat

^ I gave up up on it though. My back-saving method these days:

    1. have the car just high enough that the wheel's clear, no more than an inch.
    2. Sit on the ground/slab, with the wheel close to the hub, holes aligned with studs.
    3. Lever up the wheel with your toes (yes, it's easy), up and onto the studs, spin on a nut.

They decided to keep it impossible to get your new bZ4X. Production has been delayed a little longer through the 15th of July. Good maybe they can get their slight wheel issue fixed.

And RAV Primes are delayed through the 22nd of July.

Yes. Just three for now. There’s a handful more being built but is obvious it’s an around town vehicle for now.

If the number triples, in theory you could have one station for every 10,000+ miles of Road up there in Canada eh? LOL

Toyota Motor North America Reports U.S. Sales in June and First Half 2022 - Lexus USA Newsroom

Looks like Toyota sold 17,454 plug-ins through June 30th. They were a little less than 20,000 from the start of the phase-out. So I'll assume they'll hit the 200,000 mark in July if they continue to sell 3,876 plug-ins like they did in June. So you're right about September 30th. October 1st the tax credit gets cut in half to $3,750.

Break down of 1st half Plug-in sales:
    ToyotaPrius Prime 5,353
    Toyota RAV4 Prime 10,153
    Toyota bZ4X 232
    Lexus NX 450h+ 1,716

Break down of June Plug-in sales:

    Toyota Prius Prime 665
    Toyota RAV4 Prime 2,544
    Toyota bZ4X 33
    Lexus NX 450h+ 634

An interesting note is the RAV4 Hybrid blew away all plug-in sales combined and was fully 43% of total RAV4 sales and climbed to a 64% increase over last year. Total RAV4 sales were down 9.8% from last year. The Lexus NX 450+ was running neck and neck with NX 350h sales in June. Lexus RX remains Lexus bread and butter and the Lexus RX 450h gained a 23% increase in June sales over last June.

They reached 200,000 in April–June. This means that the phaseout will start on October 1, 2022. If they reached it in July, it would start on January 1, 2023, but this isn't the case.

Federal EV Tax Credit Phase Out Tracker By Automaker | EVAdoption

After I posted that I read the above. Based on that information they must have reached that level this past quarter. At the end of 2021 they had sold 192,342 since 2010 so that included the Prius Plug-in sales and they only needed to sell 7,658 this year. Surprised they didn't hit it in the 1st quarter. Nissan is next with 35,748 to go and then Ford with 39,420 to go.

They were either a few hundred more or a few hundred less than 200,000 at the end of March. Our calculations indicated that they were about 200,100, but apparently they were still 199,900 or so, which barely extended the full-tax-credit period for those lucky ones by another three months.
