I was driving and check engine light as well as the red triangle of death came on with "problem" on the screen.

I've kept up on maintenance for the throttle body regularly, from what I've read it's the TPS sensor which is ON the throttlebody, ive seen different opinions that the TPS sensor cannot be changed on the throttlebody yet it is sold separately? I plan to have my car towed next week to my mechanic but am trying to figure out what the cost might be depending on what's going on. If it's not the sensor is it the throttlebody itself? How often does the motor on a throttlebody stop working?

Should I do anything in the meantime? Reset it to see if it comes back?

A few weeks ago I got a check engine light but it didn't throw a code it was odd, I accidentally reset the codes with my code reader and didn't think much of it, several hundred miles later this happened. Could the sensor have been showing signs of not working and then finally it failed?

Thanks in advance for any opinions or help!

Update: I turned the car on to see if the ICE would charge the hybrid battery (which it did) but it's odd, the check engine light is still on obviously but the triangle and "problem" on the screen are gone?

The next time the red triangle, or warning lights are being displayed, record the OBD2 codes (DTCs) before doing anything else.

Which OBD2 code scanner or App are you currently using?

How many miles on the vehicle?
